Payment Methods
Last updated:
Paying for a shirt with your dog’s face on it should be the least stressful part of the whole process. This page explains how payment works at Woof Tee: where you see the available payment options, what currency we charge in, when you are charged, how your payment details are protected, what to do if a payment is declined, how refunds and store credit work, and what we will never ask you for. If something here does not answer your question, email support@wooftee.shop and we will reply within 24 hours on business days.
Payments at a glance
- Available methods: shown on the checkout page for your order, before you pay.
- Currency: all prices are in US dollars (USD).
- Shipping: free to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so the total you see is what you pay us.
- Sales tax: not collected at checkout.
- Security: payments are processed by the payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Refunds: issued within 7 days of a return reaching us, to the original payment method or as store credit that never expires.
1. Which payment methods you can use
The payment methods available for your order are listed in the payment section of the checkout page, after you enter your delivery address. Only methods that are connected and working are shown there, so what you see at checkout is the complete, current list. We do not show payment logos elsewhere on the site, because we only want to display what you can actually use for your order today.
If you do not see a payment option you were hoping for, email us before ordering. We will tell you honestly whether it is available. Please do not try to pay by sending card details or bank details by email; we cannot accept payment that way and we will never ask you to.
2. Currency and pricing
All Woof Tee prices are in US dollars. If you are shopping from Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your bank or payment provider converts the amount into your local currency using its own exchange rate, and may add a foreign transaction fee. Those conversion rates and fees are set by your bank or payment provider, not by us, so the amount on your statement can differ slightly from the US dollar total at checkout.
The price of each item is shown on its product page and in your cart, including the price of the option you choose: a crewneck or hoodie usually costs more than a tee, and larger sizes or a larger mug may cost more. Shipping is always free, so there is no shipping line that changes at the last step.
3. When you are charged
You are charged when you place your order and the payment is approved. We then process your order in 1–3 business days. Because every item is printed for your order, we do not hold orders unpaid. If you cancel within 24 hours of placing the order, as described on our Cancel or Change an Order page, we refund the full amount once we confirm the cancellation.
If you change an order within the 24-hour window and the new total is higher, for example switching a tee to a hoodie, we tell you the difference first and only charge it once you agree. If the new total is lower, we refund the difference.
4. How your payment details are protected
- wooftee.shop is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, shown by the padlock in your browser’s address bar.
- Payment details are entered with, and processed by, the payment provider. Woof Tee never sees or stores your full card number or your account password.
- We keep only what we need for the order record: the amount, the date, the payment method type and the payment provider’s transaction reference.
- We will never ask for your card number, security code, bank login or password by email, by message or in the order notes.
If you ever receive a message claiming to be from Woof Tee asking for payment details, do not reply. Forward it to support@wooftee.shop so we can warn other customers.
5. If your payment is declined
A declined payment is frustrating, but it usually has a simple cause. Before trying again, check that:
- the billing address matches the address your bank or payment provider has on file, including the ZIP or postal code;
- the card or account has not expired and has enough available balance;
- your bank is not blocking an international or online purchase (common when ordering from Canada, Australia or New Zealand in US dollars) — a quick call or app notification to your bank usually fixes it;
- you completed any verification step your bank or payment provider asked for.
If the payment still fails, your order is not placed and you are not charged. Email us and we will help you work out what to try next. We cannot see the specific reason a bank declined a payment, but we can tell you whether the order came through.
6. Order checks
To protect our customers, we may review an order before printing if something looks unusual, for example a billing and shipping address in different countries, or several orders in a short time with different payment details. If we need to confirm something, we email you. If we cannot verify an order, we cancel it and refund the full amount.
7. Taxes and import charges
Woof Tee does not collect sales tax at checkout, so you will not see a tax line on your order. Orders to Canada, Australia and New Zealand ship from the USA and cross a border; whether import duties or taxes apply depends on the destination country and its rules. Any such charges are set and collected by that country and are not part of the payment you make to us. See Shipping & Delivery for more.
8. Refunds and store credit
When you return an item within 60 days of delivery, your refund is issued within 7 days of the return reaching us, as explained in our Refund Policy. By default it goes back to the payment method you used. If you prefer, we can issue Woof Tee store credit instead. Store credit never expires and can be used on any future order, which makes it handy if you want to reorder in a different size or buy for another pet later.
Once we issue a refund, your bank or payment provider decides how quickly it appears on your statement. If you cannot see it after a few business days, email us and we will send you the refund date and any reference we have.
9. Discounts and gift purchases
We do not currently run public discount codes, so you will not find a promo code box full of expired offers. If that changes, any promotion will show its conditions next to it. If you are buying a gift, you pay as usual and enter the recipient’s address for delivery. The order confirmation, including the price, is sent to you, the buyer.
10. Duplicate or unexpected charges
If you see two charges for one order, or a charge you do not recognise, email us with the date and amount before contacting your bank. Sometimes a bank shows a temporary authorisation that disappears on its own; sometimes an order really was placed twice. Either way, we will check our records and refund any duplicate order. Contacting us first does not affect your rights with your bank or payment provider.
11. Keeping your account safe
If you create a Woof Tee account to see your orders, choose a password you do not use anywhere else and keep it private. We will never ask for it. Sign out on shared devices. If you think someone else has used your account, email us right away.
12. Payment questions we hear most
Why do I not see payment logos on your site?
Because we only show what you can use. The list of available methods appears at checkout, and that list is always current.
Is my total going to change at the last step?
No hidden extras: shipping is free and sales tax is not collected at checkout. The only thing that can differ is the currency conversion your own bank applies if you pay in a currency other than US dollars.
Can I pay for someone else’s order?
Yes. Enter your own billing details and the recipient’s delivery address. Refunds for that order go back to you, the payer, unless you ask us to issue store credit to the recipient.
Can I pay part with store credit and part another way?
Yes. Store credit is applied first, and the rest is paid with a payment method available at checkout. If you later return an item from that order, the store-credit part is refunded as store credit and the rest goes back to the other payment method.
Do you charge a fee for orders from Canada, Australia or New Zealand?
No. We charge the same US dollar price and free shipping to all four countries. Any foreign transaction fee comes from your own bank or card provider, so check with them if you are unsure.
Can I get an invoice for my order?
Your order confirmation email lists the items, options, prices and total. If you need it in a different format, email us with the order number and tell us what you need.
13. From cart to confirmation: what each step means
| Step | What you see | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Cart | Your items, options and prices in US dollars | Nothing has been charged yet |
| Checkout details | Address fields and the order notes box | Write your pet’s name and photo link here; free shipping is applied for US, CA, AU and NZ addresses |
| Payment section | The payment methods available for your order | Choose one and complete any verification your provider asks for |
| Order received page | Your order number and a summary | Your payment was approved and the order is placed |
| Confirmation email | The same summary, including your order notes | Check the notes; you have 24 hours to request changes |
14. A note on order notes and payment
The order notes box at checkout is where your pet’s name, any short text and your photo link belong. It is not a secure place for anything financial. Please never type card numbers, bank details, passwords or one-time codes into the order notes, and never send them by email. If you accidentally do, tell us straight away and we will delete the note from the order record and remind you to contact your bank.
